50th Anniversary Celebration & Annual Meeting

The Defenders of Crooked Lake celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a beautiful celebration at Bok Tower Gardens on March 12, 2020. President Jim Tully kicked off the event with a presentation on the history of the Defenders. Robin Gibson spoke about his efforts to keep Crooked Lake Outstanding.

During the meeting, officers were elected for 2020: President: Jim Tully; Vice President: Bob Luther; Secretary: Judy Stevens; Treasurer: Mark Armstrong; Board Members: Terry Frank, Kristiana Heath, Lisa Jensen, Sally Morrison, Steve Morrison, Lee Meyer, Tommy Phillips, Fleet Ryland, Win Stevens, Jim Studiale, Bunny Wetzel, and Jacque Woodard

We also celebrated meeting our goal of matching $25,000 for the Windy Hill Initiative.

Following the Annual Meeting, Fr. Tim Nunez of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd provided an invocation and attendees adjourned to the outdoor kitchen for food, drinks, and music provided by Alick Gerard and Steve Morrison. Blair Updike donated 3 commissioned paintings of Crooked Lake, which were auctioned off to raise funds for the Defenders.

Many special thanks are in order to all those that helped make this event possible. The slideshows presented at the meeting and photos from the event are available at the links below.
